Bulk Road Salt — Stansbury Island
Produced on Stansbury Island, Utah, Broken Arrow is one of the Intermountain West’s leading suppliers of bulk deicing salt. Our products help state DOTs, counties, municipalities, contractors, and snow management professionals keep roads and walkways safe throughout winter.
We offer a full lineup of premium and standard bulk salts to meet every need:
Type C White Salt:
Screened and treated with magnesium chloride and anti-caking (YPS) for dependable handling and strong melt performance in winter conditions.
Type B White Salt:
Screened and treated with anti-caking (YPS) to prevent clumping and ensure smooth, consistent application.
Type A White Salt:
Untreated, screened salt for standard deicing tasks and routine winter maintenance.
RapidThaw® Red Salt:
Premium blend mined from mineral-rich deposits for cold weather performance. The natural red color absorbs heat, speeding up ice melt. Enhanced with magnesium chloride for stronger melting and anti-caking treatment for smooth, reliable spreading.
All of our bulk salts are on clear roads Qualified Products List (QPL), processed for consistent sizing and purity, and available for shipment by truck or rail across the Continental United States, Alaska and Canada.

Kiln Dried Salt - Flux
Produced at our Flux, Utah facility, Dura-Blend Kiln-Dried Salt is refined for purity and low moisture content, making it ideal for industrial and manufacturing applications.
Our kiln-dried salts are used in:
- Bagged deicing products
- The production of water-softener salts
- Custom blending and packaging operations
- Livestock feed formulations requiring consistent material
- Drilling applications and tanning of hides
After being harvested from our solar ponds, the salt goes through a specialized drying, and screening process to achieve optimal purity and the correct particle size. Available grades include extra coarse, coarse, medium, and fine to support a wide range of production needs.
We also offer a washed salt product for customers who need the option for specialty manufacturing and feed applications.
All kiln-dried and washed salt products are shipped by truck or rail, ensuring reliable, year-round supply to manufacturers and agricultural operations throughout the region.
Available in bulk truckload quantities or supersacks. Supersack orders require a two-week lead time.

Bulk Road Salt Facility — Stansbury Island
7 miles NW on Stansbury Road
Stansbury Island, Utah
Directions:
Take Exit 84 off I-80 and head northwest on Stansbury Road. Cross the first set of railroad tracks at the stop sign, then continue over the main Union Pacific line. Follow the dirt/gravel road north for about 5 miles, then turn left at the Broken Arrow Salt sign. Continue another 1.5 miles to reach the facility.
KD Salt Plant — Flux, Utah
2 miles SW on Highway 138
Northwest Grantsville, Utah
Directions:
Take Exit 84 off I-80 and head southwest on Highway 138 for approximately 2 miles. Turn right onto Ellerbeck Road. The facility is located on the west side of Ellerbeck Road, next to the railroad tracks.
